Convenience Store 'Bruise' 7" Vinyl

Convenience Store - "Bruise" b/w "Bruise (Portland Version)" on 7-inch vinyl.

Convenience Store’s ‘Bruise’ is an inventive rock track that is at once both totally weird and eerily familiar. Augmented vocal loops and muted verses explode into a concussive chorus section ala DIIV or Pixies. B-side ‘Bruise (Portland Version)’ explores a haunting indie-folk take on the same song, leading it somewhere closer to Alex G or Elliot Smith.

Convenience Store is the Naarm/Melbourne music project of Nick Baker and Jack Phillips. The duo obsessively record music in their DIY basement studio, creating art rock that invokes the emotive sincerity of Alex G, Porridge Radio, and LCD Soundsystem.
